Church leadership and oversight is designed by God to edify the body.
Men and women who are servants lead God’s people by example and by teaching.
Jesus is the only head of the church. Men who try to rule with their own
authority, removed from the authority of Jesus given in the Bible, cause
problems in the church. The church is blessed when it follows God’s plan to have the church
led by mature men who are honestly following Jesus in their lives. Godly
women have a great role in teaching, training, and personal evangelism. While
they are not to have authority over their husbands, they have very important
work in the church as servants and teachers. The aim of these lessons is to remind you of the principles of
leadership and service that you have already studied, and to encourage you to
respect God’s plan for church edification. |
