                                e. We should pray for ourselves, James 1:5; Luke 11:4.

                2. Christians must develop Christ-like attitudes.

                                a. We must be humble, 1 Tim 6:17; Rom 12:3; Gal 6:3; Phil 2:3-4.

                                b. We must serve each other, 2 Tim 1:16-18; 4:11-14; John 13:4-15.

                                c. We must be dedicated to teaching the gospel, 2 Tim 2:2; Heb 5:12;

                                    Mat 28:19-20; Acts 8:4; 1 Tim 5:17; Titus 2:15.

                3. Christians must avoid division and strife.

                                a. By refusing to listen to idle talk, 1 Tim 1:10-16; 4:7; Titus 1:14.

                                b. By refusing to argue about useless things, 2 Tim 2:14; Titus 1:9-11;

                                    2:6-8; 3:9-11.

                                c. By loving each other, Titus 3:1-8, 14-15; Col 3:12-16; Rom 13:8-10.
