I.     CORNELIUS AND PETER - A GENTILE LOOKS FOR GOD -ACTS 10:1-33

A.    Cornelius, A Pious Man And Centurion, Had A Vision - Acts 10:1-8

1.     God accepted his prayers and good works - Acts 10:4

2.     God tells him to send for Peter - Acts 10:5

B.     God Prepared Peter - Acts 10:9-22

1.     The vision of the sheet - Acts 10:10-17

2.     The arrival of those sent by Cornelius - Acts 10:18-22

C.     Peter Went To Cornelius' House - Acts 10:23-33

1.     Peter explains what God had shown him - Acts 10:26-29

2.     Cornelius explains what God told him - Acts 10:30-33

D.     Peter Preached The Gospel To The Gentiles - Acts 10:34-43

                               1.    God accepts all without distinguishing between people and nations - Acts 10:34-35

2.      The gospel about Jesus - Acts 10:36-43

3.      The result

a.         The Holy Spirit came on all that heard the message - Acts 10:44-46

b.     Those that heard the message were baptized in the name of Jesus -                                                           Acts 10:47-48                                                

II.   PETER'S REPORT TO THE CHURCH IN JERUSALEM - ACTS 11:1-18

A.    Some Jewish Christians Criticized Peter For Associating With Gentiles - Acts 11:1-3

                B.   Peter Explains What Happened And Why He Evangelized The Gentiles - Acts 11:4-17

                C.   The Jewish Believers Accepted Peter's Explanation And Praised God For Having Given The Gentiles

                       The Opportunity Of Having Eternal Life - Acts 11:18

 

 

CONCLUSION -CORNELIUS' CONVERSION WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS IN THE

                               HISTORY OF THE WORLD:  GOD'S PROMISE TO ABRAM HAD BEEN FULFILLED -

                               GEN. 12:3; GAL. 3:14
