III. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

1.        Since God speaks through His Son now, we need to pay attention to the stories of Jesus; the gospel

of Christ is of first importance.  Hebrews 12:1-3;  John 6:68-69;  1 Corinthians 15:1-8.

2.        Jesus reflected the glory of His Father while on earth.  We need to reflect the glory of Christ during

our daily walk on earth.  2 Corinthians 3:18; 4:6;  Ephesians 4:1; 5:1-2.

3.        Christ was an ambassador of God, reconciling sinful people to God.  We are also ambassadors of

God, carrying the message of reconciliation to sinful people.  2 Corinthians 5:18-20;

Matthew 28:18-20.

4.        We can admire the ministry of angels, but we should never exalt them to a position of worship.

Worship is reserved for God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) only.  Colossians 2:18;  Revelation 22:8-9.

5.        Remember that the Son (Jesus) is called God - Hebrews 1:8-9;  Isaiah 9:6.

6.        Jesus will always remain the same.  Though the heavens and the earth will one day be completely

destroyed, the Son will continue never changing.  Hebrews 1:10-12; 7:24-25; 13:8;

Revelation 22:13.
