Philippians 1:6 - God working in us is a process, which He will bring to completion. 3. Philippians 4:13 - With Christ working in us, we can do all things that God would have us do. 4. Matthew 19:25-26 - It is impossible to live a life worthy of the Gospel without God; with God, all things are possible. II. MAIN THEME - God works in us in many ways, for many reasons. 1. God works in us through: a. Suffering - 2 Corinthians 1:8-11. b. Our brethren and their prayers - 2 Corinthians 1:10b-11. c. Himself - 2 Corinthians 3:4-5. d. Our focusing on Jesus - 2 Corinthians 3:18. e. The Holy Spirit - Galatians 5:22. f. Christ - Ephesians 1:19b-20. g. Good works God prepared for us to do - Ephesians 2:10. h. The Scriptures - 2 Timothy 3:14-17. 2. God can best work in those who: a. Receive God's grace - 2 Corinthians 9:8. b. Flee evil and pursue God's way - 1 Timothy 6:9-11. c. Don't quarrel about words - 2 Timothy 2:14. d. Cleanse themselves - 2 Timothy 2:21. e. Humble themselves and cast their cares upon God - 1 Peter 5:6-7. III. APPLICATION 1.
